About halfway through their flight over the Aedolinn region, storms finally broke out, drenching anything that happened to be outside rather thoroughly.
Aaron like the rain, of course, but it started to sting as Flygon zipped (just as easily) through the damp air.
They passed over a corner of the safari zone, and below, Aaron could see a few Girafarig running throught the feilds with what seemed to be a wild Kangaskhan.
As the low-lying black and grey building finally came into view, the rocket leader breathed a sigh of relief. They could finally get out of the rain...
Flygon landed lightly on the ground and allowed Aaron from her back. She glanced back up, towards the sky; Taro was not far behind. She squeaked to be let back into her pokeball, and Aaron recalled her. Taro landed just as gracefully, then bowed his head so as to allow Zane off.
The downpour was becoming harder, and he could see the water running from his hair...

Zane was quiet thankful that she'd chosen Taro instead of Flygon to ride. Her fingers constantly lost their grip in the slippery rain, but she managed to get a grip before she fell off of his back. Aaron was quite a few yards ahead of them, and that was okay with Zane- her own flight was a bit slower- yet far safer.
The Safari Zone could be seen now, and Zane watched the Pokemon running beneath them, smiling softly before she lost her grip again. She stiffeneed before grapping the Pokemon's neck for stability, and regained a hold on his smooth skin. In the horizon, a black-and-grey building came into view, sitting there in welcome...
Aaron landed first, dismounting and recalling the Ground/Dragon type into her Pokeball, and Taro landed after. As the Rock/FLying type bowed his hea for her to get off, Scitter jumped from his seat in her lab and landed on the muddly ground, splashing a little, but stood a few meters away, eyeing Aaron. Zane attempted to swing her leg over Taro's back to get it to the other side, but only succeeded in causing her body to slide and-
"Ack!" *SPLASH*
-Zane was in the mud, blinking a few times and looking around, as if wondering how she had gotten there in the first place. Once she came to her senses, she chuckled at herself, and attempted to regain her footing, struggling in the mud that now coated her. Scitter chatteredat her from afar, also coated with mud.

Aaron found himself smiling, ever so slightly, as Zane slipped from Taro's back. It was quite the comical sight, afterall. He recalled his Aerodactyl and turned to enter the building, calling for them to follow.
The doors opened with a low hiss, and a dim and flickering light welcomed them.
"Who," Aaron said, his voice rising, "Has left this light out? Don't we have maintainence?"
A rocket grunt strolled indolentley around the corner, unaware of who was shouting. When he saw Aaron, he instantly straightened up and saluted. "Uh, I, uh, no, but I, uh, can--"
"Shut up and do it!"
The grunt nodded and hurried back around the corner.
Aaron rolled his eyes and waited for Zane.

She managed to gain her footing after nearly bathing in the soggy, brown mess of dirt and water. She was coated, basically, her arms and hands brown and grimy substance and her pants were soaked through. Her t-shirt was almost as bad, however it was only at the base of the article of clothing with small splotches throughout. She walked over to also-coated Scitter, who happily jumped into her hands and ran up her arm and sitting on her shoulder, completing the muddy mess with tiny paw prints.
She moved quickly to catch up with Aaron, and watched, with amazement as the doors opened with a mechanical hiss. This place seemed professional, however the amazement quickly turned to awe when Aaron commanded a Rocket Grunt. Zane could see this, even though she wasn’t quite in the building, but a few paces behind them. Once Aaron had the flickering light attended to, Zane came over to him, turning around and looking at her muddy footprints.
“Sorry about that,” she murmured, blue eyes scanning over the mess with a sigh, “I take it you’re quite important around here, Aaron.”

"You might say that," Aaron replied as he started down the hallway. "The labs are down this way--we've been tracking Articuno recently and have begun to plot his flight patterns," he explained as he reached a larger, steel-plated door, "And we think that he'll be crossing over Seacrest in a week or so."
He reached into his pocket and inserted it into a slot by the door, which swung open to reveal a large and very complex laboratory.
Aaron stepped inside and looked over a large map that was displayed on a clear wall. A series of squiggly blue lines criss-crossed the Aedolinn region: The great bird's recorded sightings.
"Ah," he said, turning to face Zane, "We have a sythetic training arena in the back, if you want to train your pokemon at all. I know you just got them, and they aren't very strong yet."

Zane nodded, smirking a little at his 'modesty.' She had a feeling that he was far more important than he was letting on, but he'd tell when he was ready, like his name. Zane nodded when Aaron spoke of the laboratory location, trying to memorize the route they took so she wouldn't get lost. "Really? You must have some amazing people who work here in order to track a Legendary Bird like that..."
As the door to the lab swung opened, Zane was amazed at everything in the lab, her blue eyes widening to take it all in. "I can believe this..." she uttered in amazement, "this is... truly a work of art..."
Zane followed Aaron to his large map, looking at it and infering from prior knowledge that this recorded the flight paths of the bird. As Aaron spoke of the synthectic training arena, Zane scratched the back of her head, and Scitter merely chattered softly.
"Yeah... that might not be too bad of an idea..."

The emphasis remained on the word attempt, and a look of mild disgust crossed Aaron's face. The world was truly filled with incompetence...
He glanced back at the map for a long moment, then returned his attention to Zane. "It's through that door, there," he said, pointing to a large door painted with a yellow triangle, "Should you want to train. I think today we might get some footage of Articuno, and that's what I'm waiting for here."
A blonde-haired rocket grunt walked timidly into the room, having heard the news of Aaron's arrival. "G-good afternoon, sir," he said shakily. He smiled at Zane though, his green eyes just a bit suspicious of the newcomer. "I can battle, if you want. I just got my first Pokemon a couple of days ago. It's a Growlithe."

"Not having any luck with that?" Zane asked turning to look at her new boss, she might say. Officially, she was part of Team Rocket now, she supposed, and it didn't feel as wrong as she thought it might. This could work out well for the scientist, she thought quietly, being able to do this kind of thing was what she did best...
"Through that door, hmm? Well, I'll definately check it out. However, is the footage coming soon? I don't want to miss that..."
Zane felt a bit smaller when the Rocket Grunt stared at her with suspicious eyes. She returned his smile however, nodding her head in greeting to him. "A Grwolithe, huh? We can, if you don't mind. ... But we'll need a massive space. Is the training room big enough to hold an Onix?"
She supposed it was, but she mostly said it to let the grunt before her back out- Rock was strong against Fire.
